I have been a single parent for 25 years now and at times it has been overwhelming. In the past two years finnaly things have started to come together for my family. I heard about a program through our local community developement office offering to help first time homeowners.
I applied for the program and the county paid for my land and closing cost $28,000.00, It took me about a year to build my new home but it is everything I could have ever dreamed of. The USDA accepted me into their housing program and financed me for $85,000.00 at 5% intreast rate which was financed for 33 years.
My payments are $371.00 a month for the first year then they will rise due to taxes & insurance to $471.00 a month. There are certain stipulations like I have to live in the home and I can't sell for 10 years.
This has been a blessing to me and my children. even though this blessing came late in life and my youngest is 16 it gives me hope to a brighter and more stable future.
